The role of investor relations professionals in middle-market private equity firms has never been more pivotal.

The reasons are many. Allocations to the PE asset class are ballooning.  More and more firms are competing for deal flow -- and capital.  The numbers of their portfolio companies are growing.  So is the size and scale of their operating teams.

As a result, the investor relations role has catapulted to the front lines, and the scope of the function has increased.  And of course, all this has propelled IR professionals’ career prospects.

Register Now to attend our annual all-day conference on

Best Practices for Private Equity Investor Relations
on November 16, 2017, in New York City.

You’ll gain valuable insights as our 20 speakers reflect on how they’re adapting their career paths to the changing PE landscape.

You’ll learn what it takes to succeed as an IR specialist in the complex world of today’s private equity industry. And you’ll find out how other IR partners are dealing with the fundraising process, and how they stay ahead of PE trends.

Bottom line – The IR role is vastly complex – and continuously transforming.  For lots of middle-market IR partners, anything that’s not squarely about doing a new deal or enhancing an existing portfolio company ends up on the IR director’s desk.

Click Here to hear our 20 speakers address such key points as --

  • How IR teams juggle fundraising with an expanding list of other responsibilities -- from brand building to public relations to planning the annual meeting
  • How IR managers cope with unexpected crises such as turnover, portfolio company issues, and executive dysfunction.
  • What skills and backgrounds are PE general and limited partners looking for in IR managers ?
  • What are the top challenges and considerations as PE firms build out their IR teams?
  • How have the expectations and responsibilities of IR in private equity increased -- and how do they vary from firm to firm?
  • What must IR professionals do to inform LPs about co-investment opportunities.
  • Why are secondaries -- and stapled secondaries -- so important to the fundraising process?
  • How do IR managers handle unexpected crises such as fraud, gross negligence, and executive dysfunction.
  • Why LPs need to build out IR teams of their own, and how their needs differ from those of GP’s IR teams.
  • Why methods of social media communication (like Instagram) are important for investment relations specialists.
  • How IR is handling LPs’ demands for greater transparency and the rise of ESG, and socially responsible and impact investing.
  • What LPs are looking for in IR professionals as they consolidate the number of relationships and invest in fewer managers.
  • How PE firms use IR as a way to stand out from the competition.
