Global demand for investing in buyout and venture capital firms is expanding. Institutional investors are increasing their allocations, and cash is flowing freely to both established and emerging managers. Most of all, emerging managers- - spin-offs from established groups, entrepreneurs with significant personal capital at stake, and GPs with track records from top tier groups - -are poised to take advantage of renewed attention to this asset class.

In his New York Capital Roundtable presentation, fund-of-funds manager, Alex Bangash, will address key industry dynamics, including:

  • Over-Supply of Capital
  • Diversification as a Driver of Allocation
  • How he manages risk when investing in smaller companies
  • Impact of Disruptive Technologies
  • Emergence of New Funds

  • Dominance of Established Funds
  • Development of New Geographies

From this presentation, you will understand --

  • The latest methods for evaluating private equity and venture capital managers.

  • The leanings of the top institutional investors.

  • How emerging managers are staking out enviable positions, either in new geographies or new emerging technologies.

  • Latest quantitative approaches and methods that help LPs identify these standout groups in a more structured and scientific manner.

  • The views of avid proponents and adamant opponents of venture capital not only on the LP side but also on the GP community
