Serving as chair of our 8th Independent Sponsor conference is Dan Negrea, managing partner at MTN Capital Partners in New York City.  Since its inception in 2005, MTN and its portfolio companies have been involved in acquisitions totaling almost $500 million.


Before co-founding MTN, Dan was an investment banker for 20 years.  He held senior positions in leveraged finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Bear Stearns, Chase Securities, and ING Barings.  


Dan is a director of Kings Supermarkets, The Orthotic Group, and Revolution Dancewear. He holds an MBA from Cornell University and an MA in international finance from the University of Bucharest.
