(see details below)

PE business development professionals all know that to stockpile quality deals takes lots more than a solid golf game or a squad of cold-calling junior associates.

In today’s market, deal pros must blend their talents for befriending intermediaries with technological expertise and PE proficiency.

  • PE firms face unparalleled competition as they jockey with family offices, independent sponsors, and strategic buyers.
  • LPs are ratcheting up pressure for greater efficiency and higher returns.
  • Sellers are getting more sophisticated as they’re courted by more and more suitors.

Register Now -- for our conference, and learn the latest about what deal professionals are planning for 2017.

  • Come to The Capital Roundtable’s third annual conference on “Best Practices for Sourcing PE Investment Opportunities,” on Tuesday, November 29, from 8:00 to 4:00.
  • Network with scores of the best private equity business development dealmakers.
  • Visit our jewel box 19th century venue in a mid-town Manhattan private club, just uptown from where the Association for Corporate Growth is hosting its annual wine tasting gala that evening.

Register Now for our conference, and hear more than 20 business development experts discuss --

  • The best sourcing tactics for a tepid deal-flow market, and exactly what the most innovative firms are doing, and how that’s changed from the past.
  • The ever-more prominent role of technology in deal-sourcing and its intersection with the traditional relationship-driven model.
  • How investment bankers view the scene, and what they’re doing in today’s demanding marketplace.

Register Now to Meet 20 Deal Sourcing Speakers

When you attend this always popular Capital Roundtable event, you’ll hear our conference chairman, Dan Ryan, and our knowledgeable panelists answer such questions as --

  • How widely should PE firms vary their sourcing tactics?
  • How can marketing, technology, and business development work together to drive growth and nurture client relationships?
  • Is it too risky to tackle a spectrum of tactics, ranging from leveraged recaps, restructurings, corporate spinoffs, take-private transactions, to companies seeking capital to facilitate growth or acquisitions?
  • Where and how do you recruit business development professionals -- and do they need to be on a partner track?
  • What is the profile for a great business development officer?
  • What’s the best way to use technology to stay in front of the hundreds of small regional brokers?
  • What are the best methods of pursuing off-market opportunities?
  • How are prospects for finding deals among family-owned and founder-controlled companies?
  • What approaches are investment banks using to promote deal flow – and to encourage a dedicated sourcing function?
  • How do PE firms supplement their business-development teams with a network of outside advisors? How do they find and recruit them?
  • How should PE firms convince a reluctant small-business owner that it’s time to sell?
  • When is co-investing a good idea?
  • How can the demands of due-diligence complicate deal sourcing?

Here Are Three Key Reasons Why You Should Join Us

  1. Hear how many middle-market PE firms are tightening their focus and drilling deeper for investment opportunities amid unremitting competition.
  2. Learn how it’s vital to have and follow a data strategy, ensuring that your records are up-to-date and that you create and stick to a plan for what to do with the data.
  3. Understand the different sourcing strategies used by different kinds of competitors, from family offices to growth-hungry strategic buyers.

It specializes in businesses with valuations up to $150 million. It manages three active funds with more than $660 million in committed capital.

Dan joined Milestone in 2008 on the execution side of the firm. A year later, he was invited to lead its business development effort, and this year he was promoted to be a partner.
