FULL-DAY CONFERENCE Thursday, January 19, 2012 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Designed to Meet the Needs of GPs, LPs, & Managers of Buyout, Growth Equity, Mezzanine, & Lending Funds, as Well as Independent Sponsors, Operating Partners, Portfolio Company Managers, and the Bankers, Lawyers, Accountants, & Other Advisors Who Support Them Faculty | Schedule | Registration | Location | Sponsorship | Audio Package | The agribusiness industry is underrepresented in private equity portfolios, but this is about to change dramatically.
Global demand for food is projected to double between now and 2050, when the UN estimates that the world population will reach nearly 9 billion. Because the amount of arable land in the world is fixed, agribusiness companies will need to produce more food on the same amount of land by harnessing more efficient technologies and farming techniques.
The need for greater efficiency is driving the searches for more productive inputs, for ways to minimize waste, and for sustainable production. These trends create attractive opportunities all along the food and agribusiness value chain for producers of protein, manufacturers of farm and aquaculture equipment, agricultural inputs, as well as for providers of transportation and logistics services. There’s a lot to learn about the factors driving agribusiness today, and it’ll all be covered at this all-NEW conference from The Capital Roundtable. If you want to find out about promising investments for 2012 and beyond, or strategies for accelerating your current agribusiness portfolio companies, make plans now to join us.
Plus you can harvest special savings when you sign up now for this conference. You’re in time to take advantage of our Early Bird Discount – Just two examples of recent middle-market activity include Paine & Partners’ acquisition of Scanbio Marine Group, a Norwegian producer of fish protein concentrate, fish meal, and fish oil and TPG Capital’s upcoming IPO for portfolio company Elevance Renewable Sciences, a producer of specialty chemicals made from natural oils. To help us assure timely content for this all-NEW conference on Thursday, January 19, 2012, in New York, we’re delighted to welcome as our chairman Dexter Paine, of Paine & Partners, America’s best-known private equity firm focusing on the global agribusiness and food industries.
