As the CFO of a private equity firm, your job today is vastly different -- and vastly more difficult -- than it was just a few years ago.

Everyone is making demands on your time -- the IRS, the SEC, your GPs, your LPs, lawyers, accountants, compliance auditors, and on and on.

It’s no wonder you’re likely to feel overworked … and underappreciated.

And while you’re far from alone, that’s small comfort when, say, you need to justify a sudden six-figure audit expense.

How do we know this?

Because in planning this conference, we took a unique approach. Instead of inviting outside technical experts to explain nitty-gritty details about administration and compliance, we explored what CFOs like you have to say.

For example --

  • You told us you’re concerned about keeping up with rising demands without having to work 24 hours a day.
  • And you told us that while you’re working harder and longer, you’re worried that one missed piece of information (yours or your partners’) can bring the weight of the SEC down on your shoulders.

As a result, we’ve created a conference where almost every single one of 20 speakers are your colleagues, people facing the same issues you are. They are the chief financial, operating, administrative, compliance, cybersecurity, and investor relations officers who keep private equity firms moving smoothly.

The idea behind this conference is for the speakers and moderators to --

• share their best practices
• share the solutions they’ve found
• share the vendors they like
• share the shortcuts they’ve discovered
• share the pitfalls they’ve experienced
• share the traps they’ve escaped

Best of all, you’ll hear war stories, and examples of do’s and don’ts --
but no infomercials, no “living brochures.”

When you attend this BRAND-NEW conference, you’ll learn how CFOs of firms like yours are surviving the new normal and keeping up with new regulations. It’s being held in New York City on Thursday, September 12th, and we’re calling it --

“Best Practices for Overseeing PE Fund Administration & Compliance --
Rigors of Being a P.E. Firm CFO --
How to Survive the Trials & Tribulations ”

Seats are limited. Register now!

So make a list of candid off-the-record questions you want to ask your peers. Register now for this conference. Seats are limited. The cost is low, the benefits are huge.

Here are 6 important reasons why you should attend this conference and hear what your colleagues at other firms have to say --

  1. Learn what other CFO’s top concerns are about cybersecurity, whether their systems have been breached, what consultants they’re using, and what other resources are worthwhile?
  2. Discover how your colleagues are making choices about compliance policies and procedures that will let you work efficiently and cost-effectively.
  3. Hear what techniques they have developed to bridge the communications gap between themselves and their general and limited partners.
  4. Hear what other firms are selecting for technology solutions and software services for reporting, valuation, compliance, investor relations, FATCA, AIFMD, and more.
  5. Find out what they have to say about social media, and how they’re using it to locate needed expertise.
  6. Learn the pros and cons of using an external fund administrator versus doing that work yourself.

Chairing this unique conference is Blinn Cirella, chief financial officer at Saw Mill Capital, an operations-oriented, middle-market PE firm focused on acquiring manufacturing and services businesses -- based in Westchester, just outside New York City.

Blinn is known for being one of the industry’s most visible and articulate spokespeople for how to make the job of CFO workable and meaningful. She has 20 years of industry experience.

Blinn joined Saw Mill in 2006. She was previously a director at BISYS Private Equity Services, a fund administrator, where she was responsible for managing and reviewing the accounting and administration for one large institutional client with over 20 private equity funds.

Prior to joining BISYS, Blinn spent six years as the controller of CommonFund Capital Inc.,
a prominent institutional investment firm. Previously, she served as treasurer and director of finance and administration for Orien Ventures Inc.

Blinn is earned a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, from Sacred Heart University, and has passed the CPA and Series 7 and Series 63 exams.
