The Capital Roundtable is America’s leading conference company for the middle-market private equity community, focusing on the “need-to-know” information needs of general and limited partners, and their colleagues and portfolio company managers.
Founded in 1984, we’re famous for our day-long informational programs held at a private venue in midtown New York City. Since 2003, 21,782 people and 5,428 speakers have participated in 236 conferences on 84 topics.
Both for 2013 and for 2014, we’ve scheduled 30 programs. We promote them to our proprietary e-mail list of 70,000+ names. Each conference features about 23 speakers who are leading members of the private equity community, and draws about 60-100 attendees, mostly from North America.
Our conferences are regularly praised by the investors who attend them for being the best-managed in the alternative asset industry, and by the firms who sponsor them for being so cost-effective for business development.
Topics range from investing in middle-market private companies in various industries (e.g., restaurants, healthcare, for-profit education, agribusiness, cybersecurity, packaging, food & nutrition, franchise, human capital, aviation & aerospace, retail & e-commerce) -- to know-how for launching SBICs and BDCs -- to methods for successfully investing as an independent (aka "fundless") sponsor -- to best practices for raising funds from family offices and wealthy individuals, or to navigating the hurdles of being a CFO or operating partner of a private equity firm.
Among our dozens of sponsors are such leading firms as Grant Thornton, Pepper Hamilton, Robert W. Baird, Benesch, Brown Gibbons Lang, Plante & Moran, Gray Plant Mooty, Wells Fargo Bank, The Parthenon Group, Cushman & Wakefield, Drinker Biddle, Houlihan Lokey, BB&T, and Sutherland.
