Designed to Meet the Needs of Managers of GPs & LPs of Buyout, Venture Capital,
Hedge Funds, Lenders & Mezz Providers, & the Bankers,
Lawyers, and Other Advisors Who Support Them
Middle-market private equity dealmakers are saying that real estate issues seem to be consuming more and more of their time and attention these days.
Of course, real estate issues have been obvious in highly visible deals involving giant multi-store retailers like Toys R Us and Sears and K-Mart. But even aside from retailing, and even in smaller middle-market situations, real estate properties and leases can prove to be exciting assets – or horrendous liabilities.
Take for example third-party consents -- in most deals these are routine, but imagine what can happen when buyers confront landlords whose contracts have change of control clauses.
So to shed light on this often intricate niche of private equity affairs, we invite you to join The Capital Roundtable in a concise 90-minute-long MasterCast (webcast) designed specifically to track the complexities of the real estate component of mergers and acquisitions, with special emphasis on the needs of private equity investors.
Starting at 12:00 noon (Eastern time) on Tuesday March 25, you’ll hear an overview presentation from Joan McCabe, the prominent managing partner of Brynwood Partners, a Greenwich-based private equity firm. After that, Ms. McCabe is leading two extemporaneous panel discussions, featuring six other experts including a private equity general partner and lawyers as well as a lender, a real estate advisor, and a sale-leaseback specialist. The first discussion focuses on pre-deal due diligence and deal structuring options, the second on post-closing issues and opportunities.
Participating in this program is simple. Both the audio and video of this MasterCast will be transmitted through your computer, so you can access a PowerPoint presentation while you’re listening. You can see and print out handouts including slides of Ms. McCabe’s presentation. By email, you’ll also be able to submit questions to the speakers.
Ms. McCabe draws on ten years experience at Brynwood, and 15 years experience in major Wall Street investment banking firms. She holds degrees from Yale University and Harvard Business School.
Attend this unique 90-minute MasterCast, and you will --
